Working as a key maintenance team member you will operate to ensure that the plant is running at an optimum level, minimising downtown and achieving all internal maintenance demands, in an effective and timely manner.
What you will be doing:
Our maintenance team members are significant to our depots, without their knowledge and experience, we could come to a standstill.
You would be carrying out effective MIG and MMA (STICK) welding, ensuring machinery and services are maintained. Your role would also involve conducting checks on the machinery & equipment, reporting on fault repairs and liaising with different departments.
You will have worked in a manufacturing or processing industry; and have experience of planned preventative maintenance on major plant and equipment.
You'll also have;
Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of metals used for cutting, welding and forming objects and of various welding fluxes and rods
Operational knowledge of manufacturing and welding applying TIG and MMA (STICK)
Knowledge of safety precautions related to occupational hazards, procedures and practices of the trade
